I AM occupying my time in SOME beneficial ways, though. The Hope Center is doing its annual Boxes of Hope drive, collecting shoe boxes (or bags) of toiletries and basic items for Lexington's homeless.
If you're a local reader and you've got the time, these can be dropped off at any local UPS store.
from their site:
Everyday, the Hope Center provides emergency shelter, food and clothing to homeless people, but it is much more than just a shelter. We are a comprehensive social service agency delivering a variety of programs to help people get off the street and stay off the street. We do that with the help of thousands of people in this community and beyond.

I have to admit - I was bored yesterday and baked - oatmeal raisin cookies..
We weren't bored last night - but we made PB cookies with mini MM chips YUM. So guess we'll all be fat by Christmas... Better find a
5K in a hurry. I tried to find one in LA - but none on the dates we'll be there. Oh well.
I'm sorry you're bored. I'll be home soon. I can try and find everyone 5k's if they'll let me know where they are going (I know a couple of websites).
Our cookies were definitely NOT from Cooking Light!
L ~ is Cooking Light the small Readers Digest sized mag that you had stacks of ?
Pete - We are going to near Temple, Texas 15-18 -- the only race I found was on the 16th Jingle Bell Run (or something like that) downtown Austin... 19-23 Abilene - and I didn't see anything there..
But those websites might come in handy for finding races here -- there's a runners club - but they are sponsored by the bastards that dogged my shoes.. *sniff sniff*
